1) Research your purchase (optional)
Review our Terms and Return Policy. If desired, review the ResNet (Residence Hall internet connection) minimum specifications. The ResNet specs have a minimum level to connect to the network and receive support; for a satisfactory level of performance see the "Recommended" column. The ResNet specs are approved by the UNH Supported Products Advisory Committee which has also approved these Buying Tips with information about selecting monitors, printers, and so on. All systems offered by the UNH Computer Store meet or exceed all relevant ResNet specifications .
At this point you should know if you want to go with Windows or MacOS, and whether to purchase a portable computer or a desktop. If you are not sure on these points please call us at 603-862-1328 and we will discuss your needs and options.
2) Purchasing a Windows System
Visit our Price List Page and view or print one or more price lists for the systems you are considering. The price lists are heavily formatted to present a lot of information as clearly as possible. For this reason Adobe Acrobat Reader is required to view the price lists. Please call us at 603-862-1328 or email computer.store@unh.edu and we will fax or mail you the price list, or recommend a system over the phone.
On the Dell price lists you will see that each Windows model has a base bundle which may be customized with the upgrades listed below the bundle.

To get the education discount Apple requires that you submit the Eligibilty Form located here.
When available special promotions will be listed at the begining of the price list. These prices are only offered through the UNH Computer Store. Contact us if you have questions.
Download or contact us to get a copy of our personal Order Form in the same manner as the pricelists above.
5) Select accessories, software, and peripherals
Enter the part number, system description, and price of the bundle you have selected on the Order Form. Under the system enter the part number, description, and price of any system upgrades you require.
Select any other items for purchase and add the part number, description, and price to the Order Form. A list of suggested items appears on the bottom of the Order Form. We recommend every system have a surge protector and ethernet cable, wireless networking is not offered in the dorms. Our systems include the operating system but do not include Microsoft Office, the supported software suite at UNH. Most people choose to include printers as well.
We offer a Pre-Delivery Network Configuration service on Windows computers we
sell. During PDNC the system is connected to the UNH network, the supported anti-virus software is installed at no charge, and critical security updates and supported application software are installed. During the process annoying trial software marketing pop-ups are removed.
This service currently costs $ 23.00, less than half the normal charge (subject to change at any time). More information on the network configuration is available here. The network configuration is not considered necessary for Apple computers at this time.
7) Complete and sign the Order Form
If you require assistance configuring a system or completing the form, give us a call at 603-862-1328. We will be happy to help you complete the form. Please be aware that you signature is required to place an order. The order must include the student's UNH ID number for documentation of eligibility.
Fax your order form to 603-862-3567 or mail to UNH Computer Store, CIS Center 54 College Rd. Durham, NH 03824.
We will contact you (usually at the phone number on the Order Form, sometimes by email) before we process your order. If you do not hear from us within 2 business days of faxing your order to us please call to confirm that we received it.
